Partner Search
Do you want to find new markets
in Europe using a trade intermediary
such as an agent or distributor?
Do you find it difficult to find
the right sort of company to represent
you? If so, then the Euro Info Centre
Partner Search service is for you.
The Malta EIC is part of a pan-European
network of EICs in over 30 countries
throughout the European Union, the
European Economic Area and beyond.
Using the extensive network of EICs,
we can help your company to find
the partner that you need to open
new markets for your products or
to source new materials.
How does it work?
Interested companies are asked to
complete a Profile Form which will
be then input in the EIC Network
and electronically matched with
the thousands of profiles available
in the system. You will be then
immediately notified once a potential
corresponding foreign partner is
found.

What is Public Procurement?
Public Procurement represents a major
part of the EU economy. Under European
legislation, contracts issued by the
Public Sector, local authorities,
government bodies and utility companies,
among others, must be advertised and
awarded according to strictly regulated
criteria. In 2002 the total EU procurement
market was worth €1.5 trillion
or 16% of EU Gross Domestic Product
and in Ireland Public Procurement
represents 13.3% of our GDP.
Competitive Public Procurement is
essential for efficient public spending
and for this reason the Procurement
process is strictly regulated by EU
and national legislation. It is estimated
that the existing Public Procurement
Directives have reduced by 30% the
prices paid by public authorities
for goods and services and the EU
is making an on-going effort to further
improve the Procurement procedures
with the most recent directives aimed
at promoting the use of electronic
procurement.
Exploratory Award
The Malta Enterprise Exploratory Award Scheme
The Malta Enterprise Exploratory Award Scheme provides assistance, in the form of a grant, to help SME’s develop project proposals for submission to the European Commission's Seventh Framework Programme (FP7), CIP, and Leonardo Da Vinci Programme amongst others.
The Fund is intended to stimulate the capacity of SME’s to participate in such projects. Malta Enterprise will be helping businesses overcome the barriers and challenges faced in developing proposals in order to enhance SME’s participation in submitting successful proposal submissions.
Through these programmes, SME’s can strengthen their overall position through networking and relationship building with international partners, enjoy access to research centres of excellence, and develop research and innovation skills.
The FP7 Exploratory Award Scheme will cover 60% of the total eligible costs of the preparatory proposal up to a maximum of € 10,000
Further assistance may be sought either from the Euro Info Centre, the National Contact points or you may seek assistance under the Malta Enterprise Business Advisory Services.
